Do doingwell Products Contain Stevia?

No. None of our products contain stevia — not Coconut Lime, not Raspberry, and not Mango 500. Every doingwell stick is sweetened with organic monk fruit (Luo Han Guo) instead.

What we use instead

All three flavors are zero sugar and sweetened only with organic monk fruit extract. No stevia, no sugar alcohols (no erythritol or xylitol), and no artificial sweeteners.

Why we skip stevia

It comes down to taste and tolerance. Stevia is cheap and plant-based, but for a lot of people it carries a metallic or bitter aftertaste — and that sensitivity is partly genetic, so some people taste it strongly while others barely notice. Many brands then add sugar alcohols to try to mask it, which can cause digestive discomfort for some people.

Monk fruit gives a clean, rounded sweetness without that metallic finish, and without needing sugar alcohols to cover anything up. We'd rather the sweetener do its job and then get out of the way.

Is monk fruit really different from stevia?

Yes. Monk fruit gets its sweetness from compounds called mogrosides, while stevia comes from steviol glycosides. Both are zero-calorie and plant-based — they simply taste different, and most people find monk fruit cleaner.
